E-mail
Is become big business. If you want to send or receive a message to family, friends or colleagues, electronic e-mail is the way to go. It's fast, convenient and economical. - You can transfer files via e-mail over the Internet.
- E-mail programs allow you to organize your e-mail:
- They store your messages in folders. They gather messages you have received. They sent, deleted and store them in individual folders.
- Spell checking a nice feature that most e-mail programs provide. You can check all the messages you send for spelling errors before you send them.
- E-mail addresses determine the location of the persons' mailbox on the Internet.
- E-mail address consists of two parts separated by the @ symbol. One is the name of the person. (real name or nickname). The second part is the domain name which is the location of the person's account on the Internet. For example "megabite@wycol.com" .
- There are several parts to an E-mail message:
- From: Who the message is from.To: The address of the person who will receive the message. Cc: Carbon-copy. Lets you send copies of a e-mail to others by adding their e-mail address in the Cc: Field. Bcc: Blind carbon copy lets you send a copy of a msg. without the people knowing they received same msg. Subject: A brief description of what the message is about.
- You can attach files to any message you send. Whether it is a document, picture, video or sound.
- Electronic E-mail features:
- You can receive messages. Automatically check for messages. Reply to a message. Forward a message. Print a message.
